How investors can navigate the new trends: lower growth, lower returns

We are all aware of the changes in the global economy since the start of the 2008 recession. But how drastic are these changes really compared to the past three decades and how does, or how should it impact investor behaviour? When we take a step back and compare the current figures with those of the past three decades, it is clear that there are prominent new global economic trends that require adaption from investors. Two of the key trends are lower growth and lower returns. As investors, we need to lower our expectations and adapt our behaviour by being more active in our investment decisions to continue to achieve realistic objectives.
